Remote control switch function (CNT) | DC-DC Converters
Feb 15 , 2022Remote control switch function (CNT) DC-DC Converters
Remote control switch refers to the "ON" (allowed), "OFF" (prohibited) operation of the output voltage. The control end is generally called the CNT. The DC-DC Power Modules are controlled in two standard ways as follows.
1, Conventional control mode
1) Positive Logical Control
The CNT terminal connects directly to the-Vin or at a low voltage level, with the output is OFF;
The CNT terminal is suspended or connected at a high voltage level, and the output is ON.
2) Negative logical control
The CNT terminal connects directly to the-Vin or at a low voltage level, with the output is ON;
The CNT terminal is suspended or connected at a high voltage level, and the output is OFF.
2, Isolation control mode
In some special applications, you may have to use the way of isolation control mode. An isolation controlled circuit is recommended for reference only as shown in Figure 14. The photocoupled devices usually choose the triode type with a higher transmission rate rather than the Darlington type.
